Plug-n-Play consists of three components: a Windows Service that runs on the customer’s computer; the Benefit Sentinel API that runs on our server; and a database the resides on the customer’s site.
The Windows Service runs 24x7. It acts as the ‘pitcher’ sending packets of queries retrieved from the local database. The Benefit Sentinel API on our server acts as the ‘catcher’. It receives the packets, vets and data, and records the results.
Because there may be millions of records to process, data is divided up into user-defined tranches. Tranche definition will depend on the business need. Potential definitions include:
Each tranche is given a name, assigned a Point-of-Contact (POC), a data selection rule, and an active/inactive indicator.
Tranches are processed on a user-defined schedule. As each tranche is processed the POC receives emails of tranche start, progress, and completion. At the end of the tranche matching data is automatically written back to the locale database. In addition, an excel spreadsheet with matches may be sent to the tranche’s POC.
We provide all the software and work with your IT and Program Office teams to complete the set up. Based on our experience set up can be completed in 24 hours spread over a calendar week.
Period Reports
You will receive an Order Status report every 30 days during the subscription period.
The report lists by Tranche: name, run date, queries in tranche, matches found, run duration, queries used and remaining.
Purchase What You Need
Services stop at the end of the one-year subscription period, or when all queries have been used, whichever comes first.
